Detection of the pld gene of Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosisBackground: Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis is a Grampositive bacterium and the aetiological agent of external or cutaneous abscessation, lymphangitis, and internal abscessation affecting sheep, goats, horses, cattle and rarely humans as well. Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis produces an exotoxin called phospholipase D that enhances dissemination of the bacteria by damaging endothelial cells and increasing vascular permeability. Description: BactoReal® Kit Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis uses real-time PCR for the detection of the phosholipase D (pld) gene of Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis. Our carefully designed primers and probe ensure highest sensitivity and specificity. The kit consists of an assay mix for the detection of the pathogen as well as a positive control and an internal positive control (IPC). To minimize PCR cross-contamination,the reaction mix included contains dUTP and uracil-N glycosylase (UNG).
