Rift valley fever virus (RVFV) is responsible for Rift valley fever, a viral zoonosis that primarily affects animals but also has the capacity to infect humans. Contact with infected tissue is considered to be the main source of human infections. The disease also results in significant economic losses due to death and abortion among RVF-infected livestock.

Streptococcus agalactiae (also known as group B Streptococcus) was originally discovered as a cause of bovine mastitis (present also in related ungulates) and is part of the normal bacterial flora colonizing the gastrointestinal tract and genitourinary tract of the human population. S. agalactiae poses a serious threat to lives of neonates and to lives of human. This microorganism is considered one of the major causes of economic losses to dairy producers without a control program.

Streptococcus equi subsp. zooepidemicus is a pathogen of animals primarily affecting horses, in whom it can cause diseases in the upper respiratory tract, uterus, umbilicus, and wounds; but its host range also includes swine, ruminants, guinea pig, monkeys, cats, dogs, poultry, and human. Zoonotic transmission of S. equi subsp. zooepidemicus is rare and is usually associated with drinking unpasteurized milk or through contact with horses by persons who usually have underlying health conditions.

Streptococcus spp. detection test kit by using qPCR. Streptococcus are not pathogenic and form part of the commensal microbiota of the mouth, skin, intestine, and upper respiratory tract. However, some Streptococcus species infect a barrage of different animals, including humans, with diseases such as pink eye, meningitis, bacterial pneumonia, endocarditis, erysipelas and necrotizing fasciitis. Some of these relevant pathogenic species are S. agalactiae, S. dysgalactiae, S. bovis, S. suis, S. pneumoniae or S. gallolyticus.

Strongylus vulgaris detection test kit by using qPCR. Strongylus vulgaris (commonly known as the blood worm), is a common horse parasite in the phylum Nematoda. S. vulgaris is responsible verminous arteritis and is a common cause of colic in horses. Symptoms can range from weightless or dull hair coat to diarrhea, weakness, anorexia and anemia.

Suid herpesvirus 1 detection test kit by using qPCR. Suid herpesvirus 1 is responsible of Aujeszky’s disease in swine, usually called pseudorabies. Aujeszky’s disease is considered to be the most economically important viral disease of swine in areas where classical swine fever (hog cholera) has been eradicated. It is now a human seasonal flu virus that also circulates in pigs. Taylorella equigenitalis detection test kit by using qPCR. Taylorella equigenitalis is the causative agent of contagious equine metritis in horses. The disease is an inflammatory sexually transmitted disease that is found in both males and females. Once the disease is contracted in the mare, the most common affection is infertility and in pregnant mares, abortion is expected. Other effects in mares, such as cervicitis, endometritis, and varying severities of vaginitis, can occur and occasionally have fatal outcomes.
