Detection of RNA of the ORF1 of bovine nebovirus
Background:
Neboviruses are non-enveloped, single-stranded, linear, positive-sense RNA viruses ((+)ssRNA), belonging to the Caliciviridae family. The only currently known species in the genus Nebovirus is newbury-1 virus. Cattle, especially calves, serve as natural hosts. Neboviral infection is associated with gastrointestinal disorders and necrotizing hepatitis leading to fatal hemorrhages in calves. The disease often remains endemic due to the lack of a commercially available vaccine.
Description:
ViroReal® Kit Nebovirus uses one-step reverse transcription RT real-time PCR for the detection of ORF 1 of bovine nebovirus. Our carefully designed primers and probe ensure highest sensitivity and specificity. The kit consists of an assay mix for the detection of the pathogen as well as a positive control and an internal positive control (IPC). Reverse transcription and PCR can be performed in one reaction well.
